You will know if your TV Antenna system needs a service, by the TV picture you are viewing starts to pixelate (breaks up into small squares)or you may even get a message on your TV saying “Poor or Bad signal check your antenna” This message may appear only for a short amount of time, randomly throughout your TV viewing time, which means there is a problem with the Digital TV reception, or there maybe some sort of interference interrupting the Digital broadcast. The "Poor or Bad signal check your antenna" message may appear on the screen and stay there for an extended period of time, which indicates a more serious problem with the Digital TV reception.
Some Technicians think that if the Digital TV signal is poor, just add an amplifier will fix the problem.!!!
This will not improve the quality of the Digital TV signal at all. The Digital TV signal is about the quality of the Digital signal, and not the quantity. If you have a poor quality Digital TV signal, it will not matter how much you boost or amplify this poor quality Digital TV signal, it will not fix or improve the quality if the Digital TV signal, all that happens is that the very poor digital signal is amplified with a whole lot of other unwanted signals.(signal noise)
It does not solve the problem
With our Digital Signal Meter, Comsat Technology will check the antenna system, find the fault, consult with the customer and then fix the problem. Because our Digital Signal Meters show us a number of different screen displays relating to the Digital TV signal Quality, we can see what is going on and with these readings, we can find the fault, and fix the problem very quickly.
Some of the screen displays we use include the spectrum, the Carrier Bit Error screen, the Video Bit Error screen, the Carrier to Noise ratio screen, and finally the most important screen to prove the quality of the Digital TV signal is the actual Digital Colour Picture. If all the other screen displays are telling the Technician that the Digital TV signal is good, then when we switch screens to the actual Digital TV Picture, the Technician will see a clear Digital picture in full colour, with no pixelation or freezing or the picture dropping out, the Technician has now fixed the Digital TV signal at this property.
Most Digital Smart TV's have a diagnostic section that you can actually check the strength and quality of the Digital TV signal. The most important reading is the actual signal quality of the Digital TV signal.
